Photosynthesis, the power of the plant
Soaking up the sunshine and water from the land

They turn that light to sugar and that sugar to ATP
To thrive and stay alive, they need that sweet, sweet energy
CLIMATE CHANGE:
Ozone, methane, CO2
Fossil fuels and growing food

Driving cars and flying planes
All these things cause climate change
THE LIGHT SPECTRUM:
Light comes in many shades
From ROYGBIV to Gamma Rays

There's infrared and X-Ray, too
But we can only see a few
SOIL SCIENCE:
Have you ever heard about
The web of life that's in the ground?

Bacteria and nematodes
Micorrhyzal fungus grows

THE WATER TABLE:
When you dig a well for water down below
When your riverbed begins to overflow

​Well, there's water all around, it's just underneath the ground
I mean the water table - you know, H20!
ROCKS & GEOLOGY:
You can find rocks wherever you look
Down in the dirt or in the babbling brook

Crystals and minerals glued together
By pressure and time, by heat and by weather
THE WATER CYCLE:
Where does the river flow?
Where does the water from the rain all go?
It's all a lot simpler than you might think
All the water on Earth is interlinked

​Rivers and oceans, valleys and streams
The clouds up above and the plants in between
They all work together in harmony
